Module 0 Overview

Module 0 Outcome (WHAT): Outline the structure and expectations for the Flexible Course Experience Institute.

Module 0 Purpose (WHY): Providing these details supports participants across all course delivery modalities--in person, online in real-time, or online on your own time.

Module 0 Instructions (HOW): To complete this module, follow the steps outlined below.

Steps	Activities to Complete
Step 1: Check in With Yourself	First, Check in With Yourself: Take the Module 0 Check in With Yourself survey. The results will suggest growth areas to review more thoroughly and strength areas to review briefly.
Step 2: Explore and Learn	Next, Explore and Learn : Explore the Module 0 micro-lessons: 0.1 Setting Expectations 0.2 Defining Flexibility 0.3 Completing the Institute Modules Prioritize one or two strategies to make your course more flexible for students. Complete brief micro-lesson activities to implement at least one strategy or tool that you feel will help students succeed in your classes.
Step 3: Take Action	Last, Take Action: Join the discussion, Module 0 Take Action - Introduce Yourself & Share Your Personal Goals. As the forum name suggests, introduce yourself and share your goals for the Institute. Throughout and even after the Institute, return to the discussion to identify colleagues who have similar goals or who might give you feedback.
Step 4: Keep Learning	Keep Learning: If you want to keep learning about a topic, you can check out Deeper Dive resources found in the micro-lessons where applicable.
